Sunrise Ancestral Remembrance of the Middle Passage

June 11, 2023 | Participated in a photo shoot with my mentor Woosler Delisfort of the annual Sunrise Ancestral Remembrance of the Middle Passage on Virginia Key Beach Park.

The event honored the memory, sacrifices and heroism of those millions of Ancestors who perished in the more than 400 years of the Transatlantic “slave trade,” and of those who survived the deadly ocean crossing to build new nations and give life to future generations.
